Expression of Interest for Royal Society University Research Fellowships

The School of Physical and Chemical Sciences at Queen Mary University of London is looking to support applicants for the Royal Society University Research Fellowship (URF).
The URF is a prestigious fellowship programme offered by the Royal Society to support outstanding scientists in the early stages of their careers. It provides fellows with up to eight years of funding (covering their salary, research expenses, and travel costs) and a range of benefits to help them establish themselves as independent researchers.
The URF is open to researchers in all areas of science and engineering (excluding medicine) who are within three and eight years of obtaining their PhD. Applicants should carefully check the eligibility criteria before proceeding.
Our School has been very successful at securing these fellowships over the years, and we currently host 10 URFs.
We particularly encourage researchers from underrepresented groups to apply.
