Seminar: Robotics Seminar with AgiBot at QMUL
Centre for Multimodal AIDate: 16 October 2026 Time: 14:00 - 16:00
Location: Basement, Digital Environment Research Institute, 67-75 New Rd, London E1 1HH, United Kingdom
This seminar brings together diverse areas of robotics research, from artificial muscles and surgical robotics to manipulation, graspability and dexterous robotic hands. It also explores human–robot interaction, facial expression and motion transfer, examining how robots can move, interact with their surroundings and communicate with people.
This seminar is supported by AgiBot, members of their R&D team will also be joining us in person to take part in the discussions and answer questions. The event will provide an opportunity to explore potential collaborations between Agibot and QMUL.
Below is the schedule.
14:00–14:05 ---- Welcome speech by Greg Slabaugh (DERI director)
14:05–14:35 ---- AgiBot keynote: company background, technologies and research directions
14:35-15:40 ---- Presentations from QMUL academics
15:40–16:00 ---- Robot demonstrations, open discussion and Q&A
