New software developed by Prof John Moriarty and his team set to be rolled out across the National Grid saving millions of pounds.
To help Electricity North West Ltd (ENWL) justify investing in ‘smart’ network upgrades, John Moriarty helped develop new software and decision-making processes. Their use across 14 capital investment projects, serving 100,000 ENWL customers, has produced savings for the company of £5.3 million. A National Grid report has recommended this new approach as best practice in the area.
