Research Facilities

Our facilities include state-of-the art research and teaching laboratories as well as high-performance computing. These core research facilities offer a wide range of analytical and other research services for staff, students and external clients.

The analytical facilities include a mass spectrometry laboratory with a full suite of mass spectrometry platforms to provide a range of analytical tests, including structural analysis of small molecules, protein identification, sequencing of peptides and proteins, lipidomics and metabolomics analysis, and absolute and relative quantification of biomolecules in complex matrices.

Our NMR facility offers access to both high (600 MHz) and medium (400 MHz) field liquid phase and solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, while The X-ray diffraction facility offers a full diffraction analysis service in materials science, structural chemistry, structural biology and solid-state science.
