It is strongly expected that a new physical understanding of the role of entropy in the transition from thermodynamics to gravity should provide new ingredients and insights for modern cosmology and in particular for such pressing issues as dark matter and dark energy. Moreover, in the context of holography, such as AdS/CMT and AdS/QCD, this could provide an exciting paradigm in a range of fields from quantum information theory to analogue gravity. In my talk I will discuss the role of holographic and other cosmologically relevant entropies. In particular, I will focus on entropy-driven gravities and their applications in contemporary cosmology and astrophysics. In particular, I will discuss a) Verlinde entropic gravity and its generalisations, and b) Tsallis Sq,δ entropy and Barrow-Tsallis cosmology.
