The School of Physical and Chemical Sciences at Queen Mary University of London invites expressions of interest from candidates wishing to apply for the Royal Society University Research Fellowship (URF).
The URF is a prestigious fellowship programme offered by the Royal Society to support outstanding scientists in the early stages of their careers. It provides fellows with up to eight years of funding (covering their salary, research expenses, and travel costs) and additional support to help them establish themselves as independent researchers.
Applications are welcome from researchers in all areas of the experimental physics who have between 3-8 years of research experience after obtaining their PhD. Career breaks will be taken into consideration.
Our School has a strong track record in securing these fellowships and currently hosts ten URF award holders across topics in physics and chemistry.
