Our theory group meeting this week will be a general discussion of the Shor algorithm. It is a quantum algorithm developed in 1994 by Peter Shor for finding the prime factors of an integer. It was developed in 1994 by the American mathematician Peter Shor. It is a quantum algorithm that has potentially clear application including breaking digital signatures.
