Dr Charles, Senior Lecturer in Psychology, was awarded the Best Article Award by the Psychonomic Society. She was jointly awarded with Brian Maniscalco the Psychonomic Bulletin & Review Best Article award, for her article Optimal metacognitive decision strategies in signal detection theory. The Psychonomic Society Best Article Award recognises the best article published in each of the Psychonomic Society's journals during the last year.
