Talk Title: Publishing impactful research – editorial tips

Abstract: In this presentation, I will provide an overview of the article publishing process, from an Editorial perspective. I will include tips on how to "ace" the writing process and improve writing skills and how Editors assess manuscripts. I will also talk about Open Access, research integrity, and the use of Gen-AI for scientific writing.

Biography: Elisa has a major in Chemistry from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), where she also did her MSc in ultrafast spectroscopy of organic compounds. She obtained her PhD at Imperial College London, working in photophysical characterisation of organic photovoltaic materials. Later she held a Postdoc position at the University of Potsdam, in Germany, working on optoelectronics of photovoltaic devices. Elisa has been a Scientific Editor for almost six years and joined Wiley as Deputy Editor of Advanced Materials and Solar RRL in 2025.
