Interests
Large-area, device quality MOCVD-grown graphene. Graphene electronic devices. Two-dimensional (2D) semiconductors and electronic devices. Ultra-low energy consumption semiconductor devices for data centres and computers. The structural characterisation of 2D materials and electronic devices. Advanced electron microscopy. GaN-based materials and devices. Using astronomy to date ancient historical events. I am the Project Lead on a £6.4 million EPSRC Programme Grant: "Enabling Net Zero and the AI Revolution with Ultra-Low Energy 2D Materials and Devices (NEED2D)." The University Partners are QMUL, Glasgow and Nottingham, with over 20 industrial partners contributing a further £2.5 million.
