James Busfield from the School of Engineering and Materials Science has made an appearance on the BBC Radio 4 show The Infinite Monkey Cage.

In the episode, titled Fantastic Elastic, James joins an incredible panel, including gold medal winning Olympian Bryony Page, comedian Jessica Fostekew, and materials expert Anna Ploszajski, alongside hosts Brian Cox and Robin Ince, to delve into the fascinating world of elasticity. From the molecular wonders of stretchy materials to their critical applications, from trampolines to space shuttles, this episode has something for everyone.

The episode is already available on BBC Sounds and the web ahead of its December 12 broadcast on Radio 4.

James commented, "That it was great fun appearing on the panel with a live audience. They recorded about 90 minutes for the show, and I was relieved that not everything I said was cut out in the editing suite."
