Dr Roman Arguello
Senior Lecturer in Genetics, Genomics and Fundamental Cell Biology
Theme Lead for Genomics of Evolution and Development
School of Biological and Behavioural Sciences
Queen Mary University of London
Research
evolutionary genomics, sensory neurobiology, evo-devo, behaviour
Interests
Our lab uses evolutionary/population genomic and neurobiology approaches to investigate the genetic and cellular changes underlying the diversification of sensory systems. These aims link with related topics in evolutionary biology such as the roles that local adaptation, gene flow, and demographic histories play in shaping genetic and phenotypic changes.
