QMUL and UGM launched an international research team to explore cost-effective future telecommunication technology and delivered two international research workshops

Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) and Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) academics have recently launched an international research team led by Dr SaeJune Park (Centre for Electronics, QMUL) and Dr Ayodya Tenggara (Department of Nuclear Engineering and Engineering Physics, UGM) to explore affordable future telecommunication technology. The collaboration has been funded by Queen Mary International Science and Partnership Fund Grant and aims to deliver an exploratory study of 3D-printed high-frequency devices for future telecommunications.

The research team successfully organised and delivered two in-person research workshops. The first workshop was held at UGM in Indonesia on 13 Mar 2024, followed by the second workshop at QMUL in the UK on 25 Mar 2024. These workshops were not just about sharing knowledge and ideas. They were also about building a strong international community of researchers who are passionate about the future of telecommunications and further potential collaborations between the two institutes.
