Geometric Methods in Probability
Centre for Probability, Statistics and Data ScienceDates: 12-13 January 2026
Location: School of Mathematical Sciences, QMUL
Monday 12th January will consist of a London Probability Day (LPD), a one-day conference in probability, with confirmed speakers:
- Annika Lang (Chalmers University of Technology and the University of Gothenburg)
- Iolo Jones (Durham University)
- Justin Salez (Université Paris-Dauphine & PSL)
Tuesday 13th January will consist of a research workshop as part of the Tangents and New Normals (TnN) network. On this second day we will have motivational problems advertised by several speakers, and we will break out into groups to discuss these problems. Motivational problems will be brought forward by:
- Annika Lang (Chalmers University of Technology and the University of Gothenburg)
- Aleksandar Mijatovic (University of Warwick)
- Sam Power (University of Bristol)

Some funding will be available to support accommodation on the night of the 12th for PhDs and early career researchers.
