Queen Mary offers a Summer Training Research Initiative to Support Diversity and Equality. This is a 8-weeks paid undergraduate research studentship for QMUL undergraduate students who identify as BAME. More details about eligibility and application process can be found here.
In summer 2024, Faheemah Hussain, a BSc student in Biological Sciences, has worked on the STRIDE funded project on how humans minds represent gravity. Under the supervision of Dr Elisabetta Versace and the postdoctoral researcher Dr Ecem Ozkan in the Centre for Brain and Behaviour, she has developed an innovative system to present videos of projectiles to human participants and collect their judgments, using methods from psychophysics and advanced digital technologies.
